Alongside the fabulous productions on stage at Theatre Royal Brighton our Creative Learning programme offers a whole host of exciting, unusual and engaging events off stage that bring all sorts of people into our building to watch, participate in and enjoy the magic of theatre.
Skip’s Club is part of our Creative Learning programme and is a great way for children and families to find out more about theatre, make new friends, and share special experiences.
You don’t have to be a member to participate in Skip’s Club events but it’s free to join and members get advance notice of all our exciting events.

Skip’s After School Club
Led by our fantastic workshop leaders Abi or Fiona and assisted by lovely Lucie, these fun and informal sessions for 6 - 10-year-olds are a great way to find out more about theatre, make new friends and enjoy trying out new things.
Each session includes warm-up games, a look on stage, themed drama and craft activities, squash and biscuits.
After School Club takes place on the following Wednesdays from 4pm - 5.30pm:
We have a limited number of discounted spaces for children at Brighton & Hove state schools who are in receipt of Pupil Premium and/or free school meals, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Children who have not been to After School Club before can have a free trial session on Wed 11 April or 25 April; email email@example.com to book.
Skip’s Family Workshops
Make, play and have fun together as our fabulous workshop leader guides you through a themed making and doing session and encourages your imaginations to run wild!
Family workshops take place on the following Saturdays from 10.30am – 12.30pm:
28 April Crazy colours & optical illusions
Artist Bec Garland will help you use collage, craft and mosaic to create colourful and eye-bending illusions such as Zoetropes, Thaumatropes and flick books in this crazily fun session.
26 May The Circus Comes to Town
Join artist and Circus Skills practitioner Abi Horn to recreate the excitement and atmosphere of the Big Top.
23 June Mexican Fiesta!
Artist Nicola Benge will take you on a trip across the seas in this hot and spicy celebration of Mexican culture and festivals with music, dancing and crafting.
